- I made my first meatloaf tonight because John loves it so much. I made it with turkey and pork instead of beef, so I would eat some. He isn't home from work so he hasn't given me a verdict yet. But it looks pretty meatloafy.
- Made roasted potatoes, yams, and onions to go with it.
- John is almost done with this semester. Yay!
- We aren't really doing Christmas presents this year (sorry friends and family, but you understand, right?) because we are pretty broke, and we need to get new phones instead. So we are just getting minimal presents for each other and splurging on a family plan.
(This is proving to be difficult for me because I LOVE buying people Christmas presents.)
- Luna doesn't count. She is totally getting the same amount of presents this year. She's the baby!
- I bought a box of clementines the other day. They always remind me of the holidays. My diet has consisted of predominantly clementines ever since. I have eaten 7 already today. This is a judgement free zone, okay.
- Our car needs lots of random repairs and has become a constant source of stress and anxiety for us. It's just one expensive thing after another. Driving across the country apparently was not the best thing for poor Marley.
- I'm seriously in the Christmas spirit and have spent the last week obsessing over finding:
the perfect ornaments
the perfect star tree topper
the perfect needlepoint stockings
the perfect stocking for Luna
After endless google searches the consensus is: You can only acquire these items in time. I'm wishing there was a festive Wallkill View Farmers Market out here. I bet they have a lot of what I'm looking for.
