In her natural habitat

John and I recently had a fabulous time picking out new bedding. It has been on our TO DO list since we moved, but we haven't had the money until now.

Why is bedding so expensive? Seriously?

After a million years wandering through the duvet section of Bed Bath and Beyond, and waffling back and forth between what we liked, we settled on a solid color for the duvet, and a pattern for the sheets.

We had a hard time deciding because we like this brown, but we are also aware that is the exact color of Luna.

"I like this one."
     "I like it too."
"But you know it's the same color as Luna..."
      "No, it's different."
"Don't even pretend this isn't weimaraner brown."
"Okay, fine. But is that bad? I still like the color."
"Yeah, me too. I'm okay with it if you are."
     "Alright, let's get it."

Let me tell you, Luna LOVES the new set up. Maybe it's because they are cozier. Maybe it's because they are 400 thread count. Or maybe it is because she is perfectly camouflaged.

Either way, she hasn't left the bed since we made it this morning.

She is finally in her natural habitat.

Those pix are truly the "punch line" of that post! Both Luna and the bedding are beautiful! Well done!

I like this idea of Xochi patterned "stuff". That's a new one for the xmas list.
